  • Comments Off on Criticism on 18th Amendment: ANP moves motion against Punjab governor
The Awami National Party (ANP) on Thursday submitted an adjournment motion in the Senate against Governor Punjab Latif Khosa for criticising the 18th Amendment. ANP's Information Secretary Senator Zahid Khan said that the motion had been submitted in the Senate Secretariat.

He said that all political parties were represented in the parliamentary committee on 18th Amendment, adding that the amendment had been approved with consensus. He said that all political parties had played a pivotal role for preparing the draft of the 18th Amendment bill. He said that Parliament had approved the 18th Amendment with more than two-third majority. He said that even opposition parties had endorsed the amendment. On Wednesday, Latif Khosa criticised Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Raza Rabbani for his role in the passage of the 18th Amendment, saying the senator had 'defaced' the Constitution.
